The Taste of the Wild brand is manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods. Diamond was founded in 1970 by brothers-in-law Gary Schell and Richard Kampete. They believed that premium pet food could be produced at an affordable price. Together, they purchased a former milling company in the town of Meta, Missouri (population 220), and the Diamond company was born.
Soon, nutrition-conscious pet owners were validating Gary and Richard’s theory and buying Diamond Pet Foods products. The company expanded their production capacity to meet the growing demand with plants in Lathrop, California in 1999; Gaston, South Carolina in 2003; Ripon, California in 2012; and Dumas, Arkansas in 2016.
Today, Diamond Pet Foods remains one of the fastest growing pet food manufacturers in the country with products trusted by professional breeders, trainers, veterinarians and pet owners. Diamond, together with C.W. Feed, still believe that every pet is worthy of the best nutrition. Including yours.
